The Red Hat meetup is a group of technical professionals who value networking, learning, and having fun.

We use the Meetup as a way to keep informed of what's going on with the Red Hat Linux company and distribution, to learn new things about technology, promote ourselves or our businesses, meet new contacts in the industry and socialize with other like-minded people.

Many of the people who attend the meetups are involved in web development or systems administration. Topics for meetups are not limited to Red Hat.

Recent topics include Open Source Software, content management systems, Red Hat (of course), Linux and trends in the industry and on the web.

      “I started working with Linux when I was at Sun back in 1997. I supported Red Hat getting started as an alternative OS for Sun's platforms. Unix is still one of the best OS bases out there, regardless of flavor -- RHEL, Ubuntu, MacOSX, Solaris, etc.”
