establishing connection to net

zsirjames Denver, CO Post #: 15	Humm - have not had any connect problems w FC4. Normaly I just leave it to do DHCP off the router. Are you getting any eth0 errors on boot initalization ? I'm assuming you have good CDs MD5 checks or what ever their doing now. I leave it to do DHCP let it connect then check your DNS and gate settings then move it to another private subnet after its happy. hate to say this but reinstall is quicker that a head banging if you spend more than an hour troubleshooting. I'v seen all sorts of goofy installs ( mine ) where the main issue was the CD did not check out correctly or the kids got peanutbutter on the CDs or something.
